Dean is a UX Design Consultant. I designed his brand and website to communicate not only his profession, but his personality. UX is a complicated puzzle, it's purpose to create the simplest, most aesthetic outcome. The brand therefore needed to reflect both depth and simplicity at the same time - which is why I drew inspiration from Bauhaus design.
I wanted to use Dean’s initials in a strong, simple and meaningful way. When used side by side, they emulate the wheels of a bike. The foundry of the bike is none other than the Penny Farthing; ahead of it’s time, complicated and yet very simple in design. Oh and it gets its name as it was said to look like a penny alongside a farthing, yep thats right “coined” by an Englishman (as is Dean).
